Welcome to the Chemical Engineering faculty

The heart of Chemical Engineering is change. Chemical Engineering is involved in structure and changes of materials in order to arrive at useful or valuable insights about characteristics or actions. In the processes required to reach this objective, knowledge from a broad range of scientific and engineering fields is exploited. The chemical engineer is involved in these processes and everything they encompass: from initial design of the process up to the finished product. The engineer deals with a variety of areas in which Chemical Engineering takes center stage: energy, water treatment, polymers, microelectronics, nanotechnology, pharmaceutical and biotechnology, petrochemicals, security, environmental quality and more.
