Nir Haimovitz
Systems Engineer, specializing in electrochemical and thermal simulations at StoreDot.
Using these simulations, we characterize and predict the electrochemical and thermal performance of batteries with StoreDot's unique technology.
Therefore, I enjoy work that involves planning and analyzing methods and experiments, along with the use of complex mathematical models (on which simulations are based) throughout R&D - from chemistry to the product level.
I chose chemical engineering because I was very fascinated by transforming the science of chemistry into useful technology, while acquiring extensive engineering knowledge.
As I deepened my experience in industry and my studies in academia, I realized how multidisciplinary chemical engineering is, allowing me to engage in almost any field: energy (fuel cells, hydrogen and batteries), materials processes and even pharmaceutical production.
Thanks to it, I was exposed to and touched by many fields of engineering and science: from chemistry and physics to mechanics, from heat transfer and electrochemistry to process design and control, to mathematics and programming.
I think I chose chemical engineering because I felt the diversity and endless interest it allows a professional in the field to experience.
